Lawmaker donates 10 buses, 150 motorcycles for Adeleke re-election

As the Osun State governorship election gathers momentum, Governor Ademola Adeleke campaign has received boost following the donation of 10 buses and 150 motorcycles by the lawmaker representing Ede/Egbedore/Ejigbo federal constituency, Mr Bamidele Salam.

Salam, in a statement he issued on Wednesday, said the motorcycles and vehicles were to help simplify logistics for campaign coordinators from the 42 wards of the federal constituency.

Salam, who chairs the Imole Campaign Council Media and Publicity committee, stated that the intervention is intended to improve campaign logistics, enhance door-to-door voter engagement and strengthen grassroots mobilisation.

“The beneficiaries as ward-level coordinators responsible for driving local campaign activities and should use the vehicles responsibly. I am confident that Governor Ademola Adeleke would secure victory at the poll on August 15”, he said.

The Director-General of the council, Senator Lere Oyewumi described the gesture as a reflection of Salam’s commitment to grassroots politics and party development.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Imole Campaign Council, Prof. Wale Oladipupo, inaugurated the campaign committee for Ede Federal Constituency and charged members to intensify efforts toward electoral victory, expressing optimism about Adeleke’s chances.

The constituency campaign council is chaired by Elder Sunday Atidade Akande, with local government chairmen and party stakeholders serving as members.

The event was attended by the Governor’s sister, Mrs Modupe Adeleke-Sanni, Osun Accord party chairman, Mr Victor Akande and other party chieftains in the area.
