Founder and President of the MAAUN Group of Universities, Professor Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, has hailed the newly inaugurated President of the Republic of Benin, President Romuald Wadagni, for what he described as a bold and inspiring vision for African solidarity, unity and regional cooperation.
Professor Gwarzo gave the commendation following President Wadagni’s inauguration and inaugural address, which focused on national cohesion, stronger regional ties and collective progress among African nations.
The renowned educationist and philanthropist described the Beninese leader’s message as timely and reflective of the growing need for African countries to deepen cooperation in addressing common political, economic and social challenges confronting the continent.
According to him, President Wadagni’s emphasis on inclusiveness, peaceful coexistence and stronger diplomatic relations among African nations demonstrates visionary and forward-looking leadership capable of strengthening continental integration.
“President Wadagni’s speech represents a renewed call for African solidarity and collective advancement. His message reflects the aspirations of millions of Africans who desire a more united, peaceful and prosperous continent,” Gwarzo said.
According to reports by Le Point, Professor Gwarzo was among distinguished personalities invited to attend the inauguration ceremony but was unable to be physically present due to circumstances beyond his control.
The MAAUN founder noted that sustainable growth and long-term stability in Africa can only be achieved when leaders prioritise collaboration, mutual respect and unity of purpose beyond political and geographical boundaries.
He added that the future of the continent depends largely on visionary leadership capable of promoting regional integration, youth development, education, economic cooperation and peaceful coexistence.
Professor Gwarzo also expressed optimism that the new administration in Benin Republic would strengthen diplomatic and economic partnerships across Africa while creating opportunities for sustainable development and regional stability.
He urged President Wadagni to remain steadfast in implementing policies that promote educational advancement, youth empowerment and stronger continental cooperation.
Reaffirming his belief in African unity and transformational leadership, Gwarzo said the inauguration of President Wadagni has renewed hope for a stronger and more progressive Africa built on shared prosperity and collective responsibility.
