Despite Real Madrid being eliminated from the tournament earlier on, Kylian Mbappé finished the 2025/26 Champions League season as the tournament’s overall highest top scorer.

The Real Madrid forward scored 15 goals in this season’s tournament, putting him at the top of the Champions League scoring chart. Mbappé’s impressive campaign came despite missing the first leg of Madrid’s Round of 16 clash, while he also scored in both legs of their semifinal defeat to Bayern Munich.

One of the standout moments of his campaign came against Olympiakos when he scored four goals, including a hat-trick in just six minutes and 42 seconds — one of the fastest trebles ever recorded in Champions League history.

His goalscoring exploits have also seen him climb the competition’s all-time rankings. Mbappé now has 70 Champions League goals, moving within touching distance of Real Madrid icon Raúl González, who scored 71.

Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane is second on the scoring chart with 14 goals. The England captain missed Bayern’s first-leg victory over Atalanta in the Round of 16 due to injury but returned strongly, scoring twice in the second leg.

Kane also found the net in both semifinal matches against Real Madrid and added another goal in Bayern’s dramatic aggregate defeat to Paris Saint-Germain. However, Bayern’s elimination ended his hopes of overtaking Mbappé in the Golden Boot race.

Paris Saint-Germain winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Newcastle United star Anthony Gordon and Atlético Madrid forward Julián Álvarez are tied on 10 goals each.

Gordon’s tally was boosted by a four-goal performance in Newcastle’s emphatic win over Qarabag, although the Premier League side exited the competition in the Round of 16.
