The National President of Foursquare Women International, Elder Margaret Udoh, has assured women of adequate security and provision ahead of the forthcoming June Rally scheduled to hold at Foursquare Camp Ajebo from June 24 to 27.
Udoh gave the assurance during the just concluded Pre-June Rally Retreat organised to prepare participants spiritually for the annual gathering themed, “Finger of God,” drawn from Exodus 8:19 and Luke 11:20.
She disclosed that this year’s programme has been improved upon with the introduction of vocational skills training sessions slated for June 22 and 23 at the camp venue.
Speaking during the retreat, the National Secretary of the Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria, Rev Samson Alawode, admonished women to embrace transformation and pursue excellence while maintaining integrity and humility.
According to him, women should avoid unhealthy competition and division, stressing the need for unity and love among members.
He further urged them to intensify prayers, strengthen teamwork, encourage one another, maintain spiritual vigilance and shun negativity.
Alawode added that anyone seeking to experience the “Finger of God” must remain a holy vessel dedicated to God’s service.
Other ministers of God at the 24 hours retreat were Rev Dr Bukola Oluwagbenga,Dean, Post Graduates Life Theological Seminary, Evangelists Stephen Okolie, Levi Ethofe and Lucky Nelson.
Also speaking, Chairperson of the Retreat Planning Committee, Dcns Funke Oga, expressed gratitude to God for the successful retreat organised on behalf of the National President and the Executives.
She described the annual June Rally as one of the largest yearly gatherings of women in Nigeria, noting that the retreat served as a spiritual preparation for the main programme.
Quoting Proverbs 21:31, she reminded participants that while preparations are important, victory ultimately comes from God.
Oga urged members to reflect on the encounter of Moses at the burning bush as recorded in Exodus 3, noting that the theme “Finger of God” symbolises divine intervention against forces challenging faith, family, businesses, marriages and ministries.
According to her, the retreat provided an opportunity for participants to withdraw from the distractions of daily life in order to seek God’s presence and direction ahead of the June Rally.
She challenged all those involved in prayers, planning and execution of the programme to remain committed to delivering a successful event.
Oga also appreciated individuals who contributed financially towards the retreat, praying that God would reward them abundantly.
She expressed confidence that testimonies of God’s intervention would become evident in the lives of participants, their families and the organisation at large after the retreat.
