A statement by the Media Aide to the Kebbi State Commissioner for Information and Culture, Ahmed Aliyu, said the delegation was led by the APC National Financial Secretary, Ambassador Haruna Ginsau, and included former Deputy Governor of Bauchi State, Alhaji Abdulmalik Mahmud; former Deputy Governor of Taraba State, Alhaji Armaya’u Abubakar; Ibrahim Jirgi; Bello Moriki; and Bashar Madura.
While being conducted round the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Secretariat Complex by the Commissioner, Ambassador Ginsau expressed delight at the level of transformation witnessed across the state, saying the national leadership of the APC remained proud of Governor Idris’ achievements.
According to him, the construction of township roads across several communities, urban renewal projects, environmental sanitation and provision of critical social amenities have positioned Kebbi State for economic growth and prosperity.
“We are highly impressed with what we have seen in Kebbi State. The infrastructure projects are remarkable and capable of transforming the economy of the state,” Ginsau said.
He particularly noted that the delegation’s visit to Argungu revealed a stunning level of development, describing the local government headquarters as having the outlook of a modern state capital due to the quality of infrastructure on ground.
The APC chieftain also applauded the cleanliness of Birnin Kebbi, describing it as one of the neatest cities in Nigeria today.
In separate remarks, former Bauchi State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Abdulmalik Mahmud, and former Taraba State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Armaya’u Abubakar, commended Governor Idris for what they termed visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people.
They said the completion of the state secretariat complex named after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, alongside other infrastructural projects executed by the administration, demonstrated the governor’s determination to place Kebbi on the path of sustainable development.
The APC leaders also urged the people of Kebbi State to support Governor Idris for a second term in the 2027 general elections to enable him consolidate on the gains already achieved and deliver more dividends of democracy.
The visit formed part of activities of the APC national team currently in the state for the conduct of party primary elections.
