BOMADI — The Bomadi Elders and Stakeholders Forum (BESF) has endorsed the member representing Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Nicholas Ebomo Mutu, for re-election in the 2027 general elections, citing his performance in office.
The endorsement followed a meeting of elders and stakeholders held in Ughelli, Delta State, where participants reviewed the lawmaker’s record and discussed political developments in the constituency.
Prominent members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Bomadi Local Government Area were also in attendance, joining deliberations on the constituency’s political direction ahead of 2027.
After discussions, the forum commended Mutu’s legislative contributions and efforts in attracting projects to the constituency.
Chairman of BESF, Dr. Deinghan Ray Macauley, said the meeting was convened to assess the political landscape and take a position on the forthcoming elections.
“We have reviewed the performance of Hon. Nicholas Mutu and commend his efforts over the years in representing his people,” he said, adding that continuity in representation should be determined by the electorate.
Former Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Area, Hon. William Angadi, noted that experience and established connections were important for sustaining development in the constituency, urging support for the incumbent.
Similarly, Hon. Michael Seikegba described the lawmaker as effective in his legislative duties and called for continued backing from constituents.
Director-General of BESF, Hon. Pius Labo, attributed Mutu’s support base to his engagement with constituents and legislative experience.
Other speakers, including Hon. Godwin Maze, Hon. (Mrs.) Flora Bripu, and Hon. Jackson Okodozor, expressed similar views.
The forum passed a vote of confidence in the lawmaker and adopted a motion endorsing him for the 2027 elections.
It also expressed support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori ahead of the 2027 polls.
