Tez releases new single ‘Heartbreaker,’ blending R&B and hip-hop influences

Nigerian-born, East London–based artiste, Tez, whose real name is Teslim Gbadamosi, has released a new single titled Heartbreaker, marking another step in his emergence as a promising voice in the contemporary music scene.

The single, which is now available across streaming platforms, showcases Tez’s signature fusion of R&B and Hip-Hop, heavily inspired by early 2000s sounds while maintaining a modern, soulful edge. Produced by Elijah Melo alongside Tez, the track highlights his smooth melodies and introspective songwriting.

Heartbreaker explores themes of desire, vulnerability and emotional conflict in relationships. According to the artiste, the song reflects “the push and pull of wanting someone deeply while understanding the consequences that come with love.”

Born in Lagos and raised between Nigeria and East London, Gbadamosi began his career as a mixing and mastering engineer, running his own studio and managing recording sessions. This technical background, he said, played a key role in shaping his artistic identity and sound.

With a growing catalogue and rising recognition within the UK underground and Nigerian diaspora music scenes, Tez continues to build momentum through consistent releases and evolving artistry.
