LAGOS — Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has inspected the newly constructed 36 Tolu Schools Complex in Ajegunle ahead of its expected commissioning by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The facility, located in the Ajegunle area, comprises 16 junior secondary schools, 15 senior secondary schools, and five primary schools, with a combined capacity of over 20,000 students.
Built on 11.73 hectares of land along the lagoon, the complex features modern infrastructure, including a football field, basketball and volleyball courts, as well as other sporting and social amenities. It is considered one of the largest school complexes in Africa.
During the inspection, which lasted over two hours, Sanwo-Olu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to infrastructure development and the provision of quality, affordable education for residents of the state.
Residents of Ajegunle turned out in large numbers to welcome the governor and expressed appreciation for the project, while students also commended the initiative.
The Tolu Schools Complex is part of the administration’s THEMES+ Agenda, under the pillar of Education and Technology, aimed at improving access to modern learning facilities across Lagos State.
