The National Excellent Leadership Award (NELA 0326) held on March 27, 2026, at the STP Apartments Congress Hall, recognised outstanding individuals contributing to development across Africa.

The event was organised by The Professional Public Speaking and Leadership Academy (PPSLA AFRICA) in collaboration with The African Award Group (AAG).

Declaring the ceremony open, the Director General of PPSLA AFRICA, Dr. Lotanna Okoye, stressed the importance of honouring impactful leadership.

In his keynote, Dr. Aloefuna Ekenechukwu urged leaders to prioritise transparency, accountability and results.
Among the awardees were Mrs. Beatrice Anachuna, Hon. Irene Awunah-Ikyegh, Dr. Obi Umegbolu and Mr. Celestine Obi.

Dr. Engr. Uchenna Mbata received the Excellent Leadership Award in Real Estate and Housing Development for his role in delivering over 2,000 housing units in Enugu and Abuja and supporting skills development through the N-Power Programme.

Organisers said the awards aim to promote leadership excellence and sustainable development across the continent.
