Professor Nora Ladi Daduut, has called on Christians to embrace the virtues of love, sacrifice and forgiveness as they celebrate the 2026 Easter season.

In a felicitation message released in Jos on Sunday, the newly appointed Nigerian Ambassador to the Republic of South Korea emphasised that Easter symbolises hope, redemption and the triumph of light over darkness.

She urged citizens to reflect on these values to strengthen national unity.

Daduut urged Nigerians to remain steadfast in prayers for the country’s leaders, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.

She called on citizens to support President Tinubu’s administration as it implements economic reforms and infrastructural initiatives aimed at long-term development.

“As we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, I urge citizens of Plateau and Nigerians at large to foster peace, love, and community spirit,” Daduut stated.

“This is a season of profound reflection. We must shun divisive tendencies and focus on building a stronger, more united nation.

The sacrifice of Christ teaches us that love overcomes hate, and perseverance brings victory.”

Daduut lauded President Tinubu for his dedication to nation-building and expressed confidence that the country is on the path to economic recovery.

She also appreciated the President for his recent visit to Plateau State to condole with citizens following the deadly attack in Angwan Rukuba.

“I call on Nigerians to continue to support President Tinubu and the First Lady and pray for our leaders as they make critical decisions to take Nigeria to greater heights.

Together, we can ensure a safer and more prosperous future,” she added.

She commended Governor Caleb Mutfwang for his efforts in working to ensure lasting peace is restored to Plateau State.

Senator Daduut also prayed for a peaceful Easter celebration for Christians in Plateau State and across Nigeria.
