Delta North rising from neglect to glory under Ned Nwoko — Anioma youths

Youths of Delta North Senatorial District, under the aegis of Anioma Youths for Positive Change, have said the long-neglected region is beginning to assert itself in Nigeria’s political and development space.

In a statement issued by their spokesperson, Mr. Maximus Progress, the group noted that the zone, despite its rich human capital, cultural heritage, and economic potential, had for decades remained on the margins of strategic development.

According to the youths, Delta North had endured years of unfulfilled promises from past representatives, with little to show in terms of measurable progress.

They, however, said a shift is underway under the representation of Senator Ned Nwoko, describing the emerging narrative as one driven by purpose and renewed conviction rather than complaints.

“The region is no longer whispering but beginning to find its voice,” the statement said, adding that the senator’s political engagement is shaping both the tone and direction of Delta North’s future.

The group further noted that the long-standing agitation for the creation of Anioma State has gained renewed momentum, moving from a distant aspiration to a structured conversation within Nigeria’s political space.

They attributed this development to sustained advocacy by the senator, which they said has helped amplify the voice of Delta North at the national level.

According to the statement, this renewed push has also restored a sense of collective purpose among the people, while fostering increased civic awareness, particularly among young people who are now demanding accountability and tangible outcomes.

The youths argued that beyond the call for state creation, the region is undergoing a broader transformation, shedding the image of political passivity and embracing a more assertive and forward-looking identity.

They expressed optimism that if the current momentum is sustained, Delta North’s transition from neglect to prominence could become a defining legacy.
