The TY Buratai Humanity Care Foundation has commended Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, for donating ₦150 million to the families of three military officers killed in recent attacks.

Each of the bereaved families received ₦50 million as part of efforts to support relatives of fallen heroes involved in counter-insurgency operations.

In a statement signed by its Chairman, Ibrahim Dahiru Danfulani, the foundation described the gesture as compassionate and timely.

It noted that the governor personally visited the families of the late Lieutenant Colonels Umar Farouq, Salihu Iliyasu, and Aliyu Saidu Paiko in Abuja, Niger, and Kano states, where he offered condolences and paid tribute to their service and patriotism.

The foundation’s Grand Patron, Tukur Yusufu Buratai, also praised the governor’s commitment to the welfare of citizens, particularly families affected by insurgency.

Buratai extended condolences to the families of the fallen officers and other soldiers who lost their lives in the line of duty.

During the visits, Zulum reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to continue supporting bereaved military families, including the provision of scholarships to children of the deceased.

He also pledged to reach out to other affected families, stressing the need for sustained compassion and institutional support for those who have made sacrifices in defence of the nation.
