All Progressives Congress, APC, House of Representatives aspirant, Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency, Dr Louis Otuisi got rousing welcome at Akugbene, one of the largest votes hub in the constituency as he visited to strategise towards actualising his dream.
Otuisi, marvelled at the crowd that received him said it was “clear demonstration that the people of Akugbene not only loves me but appreciates the sacrifice the Patani people made in voting for your son to occupy the House of Representatives position for 28 years”.
He said he was in Akugbene to inaugurate his coordinators and strategists for the three Akugbene wards ahead of political campaigns and charged them to be resolute and stay above distraction.
Otuisi’s words: “Your support and love today assured me that the Akugbene people acknowledge and appreciate what the people of Patani LGA were doing for them by supporting their son for 28 years. The Akugbene people by today’s show has demonstrated willingness to strengthen the relationship between Patani and Bomadi LGAs”.
Earlier, Director-General of Dr Louis Otuisi Campaign Organisation, Edon Ebikabowei; former three-time ward chairman, Freetown Zenebofikomo, and Comrade Yakubu Biukeme thanked the people of Akugbene community for the immense support given to Otuisi and his entourage, emphasizing that “Dr Otuisi was humbled, respectful, approachable, has fear of God with intelligence to make decisions that will positively impact on our people”.
Allaying fears that Akugbene people’s huge votes have always gone to their indigene contestants, Edon, Freetown and Biukeme went down memory lane to refute the assertion, stressing that there was no impossibility with Almighty God.
“In 1979, our son, Chief Edward Azorbo, contested with Chamberlin Abeki, and we voted against our son, Chief Edward Azorbo and Abeki won,” the trio said, assuring Otuisi and his entourage they had nothing to fear.
Also Prince Ezonbi Okubo said: “The Akugbene people will freely make their choice. That is the beauty of democracy. It is not compulsory for family members to be in one party or support one person”
