The Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria, APWEN, Bayelsa State chapter has began a one month training on some industry- relevant engineering software in collaboration with Royal Grand Engineering Training (REnT).
The Chairman of APWEN Bayelsa, Engr. Amalate Ann-Jonathan Obuebite, FNSE, described the initiative as a strategic effort aimed at enhancing the technical capacity of members by equipping them with practical, industry-relevant skills in Hysys, Data Analysis, AutoCAD, and Primavera P6.
The training programme, offered free of charge, featured well-structured virtual sessions designed to emphasize hands-on learning, real-world application, and practical skill development aligned with the evolving demands of the engineering profession.
The over 100 participants exhibited a high level of engagement throughout the sessions, with feedback highlighting the programme’s effectiveness in bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical expertise.
One of the participants, Engr. Elsie Bogofanyo, thanked APWEN BAYELSA for such life- transforming opportunities and being deliberate in the professional development of her members.
In her closing remarks, the Chairman,Engr. Amalate Ann-Jonathan Obuebite Ph.D FNSE, described the initiative as a strategic commended participants for their dedication to continuous learning and professional advancement.
She also expressed appreciation to RoyalGrand Engineering Training (REnT) for delivering a comprehensive and impactful training experience.
She reaffirmed that APWEN Bayelsa remains committed to championing initiatives that foster innovation, capacity building, and the advancement of women in engineering.
According to her, such programmes are vital in preparing members to seize emerging opportunities and navigate the challenges within the global engineering landscape.
The successful completion of the training further reinforces the Chapter’s commitment to empowering women engineers with the relevant skills required for professional excellence.
