Working People United, WoPU, has joined millions of Nigerians in celebrating President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his birthday, describing him as a symbol of resilience, courage, and steadfast leadership at a critical time in the nation’s history. The group said the occasion was not only a celebration of the President’s life but also of his enduring contributions to Nigeria’s political and economic development.

In a statement, National Coordinator, Prince Akporeha William, on behalf of WoPU, highlighted the President’s long journey in public service, noting that his rise from years of political struggle to the highest office in the land reflects a deep commitment to nation-building. The group expressed optimism that despite current economic and social challenges, Nigeria is on a path toward recovery and long-term prosperity under his leadership.

“On this special day, WoPU joins millions of well-meaning Nigerians at home and in the diaspora to celebrate one of the greatest sons of Nigeria… a statesman, a reformer, and a leader whose journey continues to shape the direction of our nation.

“Today, we celebrate not just your birthday but the resilience, courage, and consistency that defines your leadership and your path reflects a lifelong commitment to public service and nation-building. At a time when Nigeria faces complex economic and social realities, your administration has taken bold and decisive steps to reposition the country for long-term stability and growth… reflecting the hallmark of a leader willing to act in the best interest of future generations.

“As working people, we see both the challenges and the possibilities ahead, we remain confident that with sustained consistency and strong leadership, Nigeria will emerge stronger and more prosperous. May the years ahead be marked by impactful leadership, a lasting legacy, and the fulfilment of the promise of a greater Nigeria.”

The statement also offered prayers for the President, asking for renewed strength, wisdom, and clarity of purpose as he continues to lead the country through what it described as a pivotal moment.

WoPU reaffirmed its support for policies aimed at economic recovery and national development, stressing that collective commitment from both leadership and citizens would be essential in achieving a more prosperous Nigeria.
