As the Ramadan fast concludes, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, has congratulated members of the University Muslim community and Muslims worldwide on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr.
In a statement issued by the University’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Mr. Kunle Akogun, Prof. Egbewole described the celebration as a time of joy and reflection, noting that the completion of Ramadan is especially significant given that many who began the fast did not live to witness its end.

The Vice Chancellor extended special congratulations to the Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON; the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR; the Chairman of the UNILORIN Muslim Community, Prof. Mudashiru Olalere Yusuf; and the Chief Imam of the University of Ilorin Central Mosque, Prof. Nasir AbdulsSalam, for successfully completing the Ramadan fast.
Prof. Egbewole, who also serves as Secretary-General of the Association of West African Universities (AWAU), reaffirmed the University’s commitment to promoting peaceful coexistence among people of diverse faiths and cultural backgrounds.
He assured stakeholders that the University would continue to excel in service delivery and in producing high-quality professionals who contribute positively to society.
