‎The Spiritual Kingdom Church of Christ (SKCC) in collaboration with the Royal Family of Edidem Bassey has offered intercessory prayers for bloodless elections in 2027.

‎The Church made the intercession Saturday over the memorial service for the ascension of their leader and founder, His Holiness Edidem Bassey at the church’s headquarters in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State.

‎The ceremony drew clergy, traditional leaders, and faithful across the country, all united in call for peace and divine intervention in Nigeria’s political journey.

The Chief High Priest and Head Ecclesiastical Council of the Church, Samuel Chinda Edidem, emphasized that it is the church’s sacred responsibility to intercede for Nigeria’s peace and stability, especially as the nation approaches a crucial election cycle.

‎He urged Nigerians to seek God’s guidance for a bloodless electoral process, asking that His will prevails without any loss of life.

‎Edidem expressed confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing him as “a good man backed by God to make change for the good of not in Nigeria but across the world.”

Reflecting on the legacy of the departed founder and spiritual leader of the SKCC, Chinda-Edidem declared there would be no more war in Nigeria after the one experienced 59 years ago, despite the critical challenges of nation building, especially insecurity plaguing the country.

He said, “Our father Edidem Bassey whom we are celebrating his ascension to heaven today prayed at the time of the Nigeria civil war, God answered him and assured that there would be no more war in Nigeria

“That covenant between our father and God is respected by God himself till today . Therefore, we can authoritatively say Nigeria would not see war again.

“Though the war recorded losses to both individuals and the nation, it would have lasted longer than necessary but God answered prayer by His Holiness Edidem Bassey and it ended with “no victor, no vanquished” slogan of the federal government.

“If you check, all the political and economic hardship that Nigeria are facing which are enough to cause the people to revolt but that is not happening due to divine intercession and subsequent agreement with God champion by Edidem Bassey.”

Chinda-Edidem maintained that even if Nigeria will disintegrate in future, nobody would go to war before the separation. It will be a peaceful separation without shedding blood.

‎Earlier, Chief High Priest Samuel Chinda-Edidem reaffirmed the words of Psalm 72:2, declaring that “the king shall judge his people with righteousness and the poor with judgment, and shall redeem their souls from deceit and violence.”

‎”I was baptized and anointed by Christ, who urged me to fear nothing, for He would make me a great leader of his people in the midst of Gentiles and fulfill His will.” Edidem said .

‎He cited testimonies from Drum Magazine(1976) andDaily Magazine (1980), which published the statement, “Jesus or not, you Edidem are the greatest,” reflecting what many have said about Edidem’s greatness.

‎He further highlighted eight great things God has done in their midst through the Most Holy King Edidem, assuring Nigerians that if Edidem had the power to stop the Nigerian Civil War, he can and will bring peace to Nigeria in the 2027 elections.

‎”This event comes at a time when many Nigerians are hopeful for unity and progress under the current administration, with religious leaders positioning themselves as moral and spiritual guides for the nation.” he said

‎Mother General of the Church, Caroline Adm Gabriel Edidem recounting benefits of King Edidem Basey while dwelling on earth noted, “The eyes of the most holy king are always watching over us. He is always ready to hear, answer, fight and save us. Only put your trust in him.”
