The highly anticipated Nollywood romance film, “Aba Blues,” is set to hit the cinemas Nationwide come March 20, 2026.
Directed by Jackenneth Opukeme, “Aba Blues” is produced by Barbara Babarinsa, while the Gaffer is Mato Light.
A FilmOne Studios and Inkblot production, the film is distributed by FilmOne.
The film, which stars Angel Anosike, Prince Nelson, Jidekene Achufusi, Toni Tones, and Odunlade Adekola, among others, asks the pertinent question- When the past returns, does the present stay the same? The answers are all packed in “Aba Blues”.
Speaking ahead of the cinema outing, renowned lighting designer Mathew Yusuf, known professionally as Mato Light, expressed how proud he was to be involved in the production of the upcoming film, “Aba Blues”.
As the Lighting Designer, Mato Light brings his signature style and creativity to the project, crafting a visual narrative that elevates the story and immerses audiences. His contributions have added depth and rich nuance to the film’s cinematic experience.
“The production of ‘Aba Blues’ has been an incredible journey, and I’m honoured to have played a part in shaping its visual identity,” says Mato Light.
“I’m excited that the audiences will experience the film and see the magic that happens when talented creatives come together,” he added.
