A member of the House of Representatives, Akarachi Etinosa Amadi, representing Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency of Imo State, has sponsored 38 bills in the National Assembly while simultaneously implementing education and infrastructure programmes aimed at improving the welfare of his constituents.
Amadi, one of the youngest lawmakers in the House of Representatives of Nigeria, has attracted attention within legislative and community circles for combining lawmaking with grassroots development initiatives focused on education, youth empowerment and infrastructure.
Since his election to the National Assembly of Nigeria, the 31-year-old engineer-turned-politician has sponsored bills covering areas such as youth empowerment, economic development, education, infrastructure and governance reforms.
The lawmaker has also rolled out constituency-based projects aimed at improving access to education and boosting local economic activities in communities across Mbaitoli and Ikeduru.
One of the flagship initiatives is the Free JAMB Enrolment Programme, designed to support students preparing for the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board examination.
Now in its fifth edition and tagged “2026 Free JAMB Enrolment – Investing in Our Future,” the programme provides free registration for candidates across the constituency seeking admission into tertiary institutions.
Beyond covering the examination fees, the scheme also offers scholarship opportunities. Students who score 200 and above automatically qualify for fully funded scholarships into federal and state universities across Nigeria, covering tuition and other academic support.
To ensure accessibility, registration forms are distributed through grassroots networks including President Generals of autonomous communities and churches such as Catholic and Anglican parishes across Mbaitoli and Ikeduru.
Amadi said the initiative is aimed at expanding educational opportunities for young people and strengthening future leadership prospects within the constituency.
In addition to education-focused programmes, the lawmaker has initiated infrastructure projects targeted at improving security and economic activities in rural communities.
