Redhill, BHM seal strategic partnership to bridge communications across Asia, Africa

By Ayo Onikoyi

Redhill, one of Asia’s largest independent communications agencies, has entered into a strategic partnership with BHM Holdings to strengthen communications and business collaboration between Asia and Africa.

The partnership, announced on Thursday, aims to create a seamless communications bridge between the two regions, which together account for more than five billion people and some of the fastest-growing economies in the world.

Under the agreement, the two firms will combine their expertise and networks to deliver integrated communications services across more than 20 markets, including Singapore, India, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, Australia, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, the United Kingdom and the United States.

The alliance brings together over 300 communications professionals who will provide a range of services such as strategic brand and corporate communications, issues and reputation management, media relations, digital marketing, creative services, stakeholder engagement and government relations.
Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Redhill, Jacob Puthenparambil, said the partnership goes beyond a typical referral arrangement and is designed to support growing trade and investment between the two regions.
“This is about much more than a referral arrangement; we are building the infrastructure for a new era of Asia–Africa commerce,” he said. “As Asian companies expand into Africa and African businesses look to Asia for growth, they need communications partners who truly understand both markets.”
He added that combining Redhill’s experience in the Asia-Pacific region with BHM’s extensive presence across Africa would create one of the most powerful independent communications networks connecting the two regions.
Also speaking on the partnership, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of BHM Holdings, Ayeni Adekunle, said Africa’s rapid growth presents significant opportunities for collaboration with Asian markets.
“Africa’s story is one of extraordinary growth and transformation, and the opportunities for collaboration with Asia have never been greater,” Adekunle said. “With Redhill, we have found a partner that shares our ambition, our entrepreneurial spirit and our commitment to world-class service.”
He noted that the collaboration would help businesses navigate the complexities of operating across the two regions while expanding their reach.
Redhill has earned several global recognitions, including being named among Singapore’s fastest-growing companies by The Straits Times for five consecutive years from 2021 to 2025. The agency also won Asia Agency of the Year at the SABRE Awards Asia Pacific and has been listed among the world’s fastest-growing PR firms by PRovoke Media.
BHM Holdings, which operates across Africa and other international markets, is the parent company of communications firms BlackHouse Media and ID Africa, as well as AI-powered communications technology platform Plaqad.
The group has also been recognised by the Financial Times as one of the 100 fastest-growing companies in Africa and has been shortlisted for African Consultancy of the Year at the SABRE Awards EMEA.
According to the companies, clients of both organisations will benefit from preferential access to each other’s services, local market intelligence, and established media and stakeholder networks. Key sectors expected to benefit from the partnership include technology, financial services, fast-moving consumer goods, energy, infrastructure and government relations.
The partnership takes effect immediately.
