It was a celebration of life over the weekend in Owa Kingdom when the BOT Chairman of pro-Tinubu campaign organization: Forward With Bola Ahmed Tinubu, 2027, Chief Sunday Ojei laid his mother, late Chief (Mrs) Victoria Ojei to rest in the kingdom with dignitaries far and near present to witness the event.
Mrs Victoria died a centenarian last year in her sleep and the process for her burial commenced until last when she was buried in Owa Kingdom by the her heir, Chief Ojei.
According to Chief Ojei, who is popularly known as Ebubedike of Owa Kingdom, his mother, late Mrs Ojei, whom he described in glowing tribute, led a fulfilled life of peace and tranquility and at a time became the mother of the kingdom, owing to her records of service to humanity.
The bereaved son noted that his mother lived her life in a manner that when she died, the entire Owa Kingdom mourned the passing of a great matriarch, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and wife on whose shoulders laid the growth and development of her children after the demise of husband.
“Today, I am alive to celebrate the passing to glory of my beloved mother, mother of Owa Kingdom, the great grandmother of our children whose death we shall mourn and celebrate her glorious and fulfilled life. She was a mother to all in her life time. I have God her creator to thank for her life well spent and I pray God grant her eternal rest.” Chief Ojei stated.
At the well-attended occasion were the Chiefs of Owa Kingdom, the leadership of the Forward With Bola Ahmed Tinubu led by its Chairman, Dr. Sadiq Yusuf, the National Women Leader, Chief (Mrs) Queen Angel Urai, Honourable Chima Chugbo, the Special Adviser to Ogun State Governor on Youth Development and National President, APC Youth League; representatives of the Kebbi State Governor and other top government functionaries while the Umutu, Ukwani Delta State-born ‘Chukwu Bu Ukpe Exponent’ Nancy Ossai – Nancy Power Dancers were on ground to entertain guests with her band’s esoteric dance steps.
The highlight of the event in addition to the colourful interment of the late sage was the distribution of household items, bags of rice to the needy, who came from far and near to grace occasion by Chief Ebubedike of Owa Kingdom and siblings.
Chief Ebubedike, a grassroot political mobiliser and business mogul use the event to call on Deltans to go out register for the next coming election as he on the people not relent in their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his 2027 second term bid describing him as a pathfinder and reformist who is doing his to remove the nation from woods of maladministration, underdevelopment and poverty brought upon the citizens by past administration as he assured that the Forward With Bola Ahmed Tinubu group will ensure Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is voted for massively at the polls come 2027 gubernatorial contest in the state.
