Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing urges young women to prioritize conquering poverty over being unmarried, saying being single doesn’t diminish one’s worth, but poverty can limit choices.

“Woman to woman, you should be more afraid of being poor than being unmarried. Singleness doesn’t take away your worth, but poverty can take away your choices,” she wrote on Instagram.

The actress believes financial independence is key and has expressed this sentiment in various interviews and social media posts.

Her advice comes amid her earlier claims that she’s never dated a man wealthier than herself and has “dated down” a few times.
