NCDMB-Sponsored Oracle Primavera P6 training ends in Uyo, boosts project management skills

UYO — A five-day Oracle Primavera P6 training programme sponsored by the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has concluded in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, with participants gaining hands-on experience in project management tools.

The training, which held from March 23 to 27, was executed by Mathnebi Nigeria Limited and drew 50 participants from various organisations. It focused on equipping attendees with practical knowledge of Oracle Primavera P6, a widely used application for planning, scheduling, and managing complex projects.

Organisers said the programme was designed to strengthen participants’ capacity to effectively plan and deliver projects, particularly within sectors where structured project management is critical.

In his closing remarks, the Company Secretary of Mathnebi Nigeria Limited appreciated the NCDMB for entrusting the firm with the implementation of the training. He noted that the initiative reflects ongoing efforts to build local capacity and enhance professional competence.

He also acknowledged the support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for initiatives aimed at strengthening institutions, adding that the board, under the leadership of Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe, continues to invest in human capital development.

Participants commended both the NCDMB and Mathnebi Nigeria Limited for organising what they described as a well-structured and impactful programme. They highlighted the quality of instruction and training materials, noting that the sessions exceeded expectations.

The training forms part of the NCDMB’s broader mandate to deepen local content and promote capacity development in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector, with stakeholders expressing optimism that such initiatives will contribute to industry growth and improved project delivery standards.
