The National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS National, has commended Hon. Comrade Ifekayode Akinbode for his efforts in youth development and student advocacy, which the association said have served as foundation for many student leaders to build upon.

This is just as the association rejoices with him on the occasion of his birthday.

In a statement by the National Public Relations Officer, Comrade Adeyemi Samson Ajasa, the body said it is proud of Akinbode’s contributions in the areas of student leadership and media strategizing.

“NANS felicitates former JCC Chairman, Hon. Comrade Ifekayode Akinbode on his birthday. He is a distinguished student leader, youth advocate, and media strategist.

“Hon. Comrade Ifekayode Akinbode remains a shining example of purposeful leadership and unwavering commitment to the Nigerian student movement. As the Pioneer NANS Joint Campus Council, he demonstrated courage, foresight, and dedication in strengthening student unionism, building institutional coordination across campuses, and promoting a progressive and united front for Nigerian students. His pioneering role continues to serve as a foundation upon which many student leaders and structures thrive today.

“His impactful service as Special Assistant to the Ogun State Governor on Youths and Students further reflected his passion for youth inclusion in governance and policy engagement, where he played a vital role in bridging the gap between government and the student community. In his current capacity as Consultant on Media to the Ogun State Governor, he has continued to distinguish himself through professionalism, strategic communication, and dedication to promoting responsible and effective governance communication.

“NANS National recognizes Hon. Akinbode as a committed ally of the Nigerian student movement, a mentor to emerging leaders, and a dependable stakeholder whose contributions to youth development and student advocacy remain commendable and deeply appreciated.

“On this special day, the entire Nigerian student community celebrates his achievements, leadership legacy, and continued service to humanity.
