A logistics company, Fez Delivery, has partnered with ImpactHerfrica as the title sponsor of the SkillHer Conference, a women-focused empowerment initiative that brought together over 300 participants in Abuja.
The conference, organised by ImpactHerfrica, was designed to equip women with practical digital skills, entrepreneurial knowledge and networks needed to compete in today’s rapidly evolving digital economy.
Participants at the event engaged in keynote sessions and panel discussions led by industry leaders, entrepreneurs and professionals who shared insights on business growth, digital opportunities and strategies for building sustainable ventures.
Speaking on the company’s decision to support the initiative, the founder of Fez Delivery, Gideon Adeyemi, said the partnership reflects the company’s commitment to supporting initiatives that create opportunities for women.
“At Fez Delivery, we believe real impact goes beyond providing services. Supporting initiatives like SkillHer is part of our commitment to empowering women with the tools, knowledge and networks they need to build sustainable businesses and thrive in the digital economy,” he said.
Observers noted that the collaboration between Fez Delivery and ImpactHerfrica demonstrates the growing role of corporate organisations in supporting social initiatives aimed at promoting women’s economic inclusion.
Beyond the knowledge sessions, the conference also created a platform for participants to connect, collaborate and explore partnerships that could extend beyond the event.
Stakeholders say initiatives such as SkillHer highlight the importance of strategic partnerships between private sector organisations and social impact platforms in driving inclusive economic development.
With more than 300 women in attendance, organisers noted that the conference reflects the increasing demand for spaces that equip women with the skills, knowledge and support systems needed to succeed in the digital and entrepreneurial landscape.
