KAFANCHAN – The Proprietor of Throneroom College of Nursing Sciences, Apostle Dr Emmanuel Nuhu Kure, has inaugurated the institution’s Board of Trustees, tasking members with steering the college toward world-class standards in nursing education.

The ceremony, held Thursday in Kafanchan, Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State, marked a significant step in the establishment of the college, aimed at producing highly skilled nursing personnel for Southern Kaduna and beyond.

Describing the board as a “dream Board,” Apostle Kure said members were chosen for their principles, professional achievements, and legacies, urging them to ensure excellence in curriculum, staffing, discipline, ethics, and overall standards. He highlighted the college’s role in creating opportunities for locals and addressing healthcare manpower gaps in the region.

Special recognition was given to the Board Chairman, Mrs Alheri Yusuf, a former Director of Nursing at the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria and consultant to organisations such as UNFPA and USAID, for her pivotal role in fast-tracking the college’s establishment.

In her acceptance speech, Mrs Yusuf pledged that the board would dedicate itself to the success of the college, calling for collaboration among board members and management staff. She also said the college aims to admit candidates for this year’s Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board examination and remains committed to producing compassionate and qualified nurses. She appealed to the Jema’a Local Government chairman for support with security and access roads to the institution.

In a goodwill message, Mr Peter Tanko Dogara, Chairman of Jema’a Local Government Area, congratulated the proprietor and the college, while Agwam Takad, Mr Tobias Nkom Wada, representing traditional rulers, thanked Apostle Kure for bridging gaps in nursing education and healthcare delivery.

The inaugurated board members include Dr Yusuf Dawan, P.K. Ayuba, Secretary Aishatu Akau, Danladi Kure Maidawa, Registrar Elisha Zokale, Acting Provost Dr Joel Adze Amwe, Pastor Martha Kure, and Dr Paul Dogo.

The inauguration positions Throneroom College of Nursing Sciences as a promising hub for quality healthcare training in Southern Kaduna.
