To promote hygiene and active living, Dettol has unveiled the second edition of its #OwnTheSweat campaign, positioning its Dettol Cool Soap as a daily essential for Nigerians navigating heat, movement, and demanding routines.

The new campaign, #OwnTheSweat2.0, builds on the success of its first iteration by expanding its reach through a series of gym pop-ups and school activations across major cities including Lagos, Abuja, Kano and Port Harcourt over the next two months.

With a large percentage of Nigerians commuting daily under average temperatures ranging between 25°C and 35°C, sweating remains an unavoidable part of everyday life. Dettol Cool Soap is designed to meet this reality, offering up to 99 percent germ protection, a cooling effect that can lower skin temperature by as much as 5°C, and long-lasting defence against body odour.

As part of the campaign, Dettol will collaborate with fitness centres to host interactive experiences, including endurance games and fitness challenges aimed at engaging Nigeria’s rapidly growing fitness community. These activations are designed not only to test physical limits but also to reinforce the importance of hygiene in maintaining confidence during active lifestyles.

Beyond gyms, the initiative will also target younger audiences through its “Cool School Pop-up” programme, encouraging students to adopt healthy hygiene habits while associating cleanliness with confidence and self-expression.

Speaking on the campaign, Boma Harrison, Marketing Director at Reckitt West Africa, said the brand is responding to a clear demand among Nigerians for products that align with their active routines.

“The success of the previous edition of Dettol Cool #OwnTheSweat showed us that Nigerians with active lifestyles are ready to embrace Dettol’s cooling confidence that prioritises hygiene,” Harrison said. “With #OwnTheSweat2.0, we are expanding the experience to reach even more people through gyms and schools, creating opportunities for Nigerians to celebrate movement, push their limits and stay confident knowing they are protected by Dettol Cool.”

Through #OwnTheSweat2.0, Dettol reinforces its commitment to supporting Nigerians who are constantly on the move, offering a blend of protection, freshness and confidence tailored to the country’s climate and lifestyle demands.
