The Niger Delta Ex-Agitators Forum (Phase 3) has expressed support for the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro, and former militant leader Government Ekpemupolo (Tompolo), highlighting their role in regional peace and development.

Marking Otuaro’s second year in office, the group emphasized progress in the Niger Delta, citing improvements in education, youth empowerment, capacity building, and security.

Before the briefing, members of the forum staged a solidarity march in Warri, displaying placards in support of Otuaro and Tompolo. They acknowledged Tompolo’s involvement in pipeline surveillance operations, which the forum said has contributed to oil infrastructure security and employment opportunities for youths in the region.

Convener of the forum, General Emma Satu, urged continued support for the existing pipeline surveillance framework, noting its impact on regional stability and investor confidence. He also highlighted reforms under Otuaro’s leadership that aim to improve the administration of the Amnesty Programme, including stakeholder engagement, timely payment of stipends, and access to education and vocational training.

The forum expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for supporting and funding the Amnesty Programme, pledging continued cooperation with its initiatives.

Reaffirming its support, the group called on Niger Delta youths and leaders to remain united in sustaining the gains recorded in the region.
