A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress and House of Representatives aspirant for Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency in Oyo State, Akinola Kazeem, has urged Nigerians to embrace unity, tolerance and peaceful coexistence across religious and ethnic lines.
Kazeem made the call in a message to mark Eid al-Fitr, felicitating with Muslim faithful and Nigerians nationwide.
In a statement issued by his Media Assistant, Akintunde Yusuf, the retired captain encouraged residents of Egbeda/Ona-Ara to remain hopeful and resilient, expressing optimism for stronger representation and sustained delivery of democratic dividends.
“A celebration such as Eid-el-Fitr, which marks the end of the 30-day Ramadan fast, is a time for sacrifice, devotion and good deeds,” he said.
“It reminds us of the enduring values of love, compassion and brotherhood that must guide Nigerians, irrespective of our differences.”
He further urged Muslim faithful to sustain the virtues cultivated during Ramadan, including patience, humility and generosity, noting that such qualities are vital for personal growth, national unity and development.
Reaffirming his commitment to the constituency, Kazeem pledged to provide inclusive representation that prioritises the welfare and aspirations of the people of Egbeda/Ona-Ara.
He promised to work towards the socio-economic growth and overall development of the constituency if given the mandate.
