The management of DICON-D7G has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his 74th birthday, commending efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s defence industry and promote local production.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the Chief Executive Officer of the company, Mr. Osman Chennar, said the President’s leadership has continued to inspire confidence among Nigerians.

Chennar, speaking on behalf of the Board, management, and staff of the firm, expressed appreciation for the President’s service and commitment to national development.

He also acknowledged ongoing efforts aimed at revitalising the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON) and supporting local capacity in defence manufacturing through strategic initiatives.

According to him, policies geared towards local production, maintenance, and repair of military equipment are contributing to reducing reliance on foreign imports.

He noted that the emphasis on indigenous capability is positioning Nigeria’s defence sector for growth and increased self-reliance.

Chennar further extended goodwill wishes to the President, expressing hope for continued strength and wisdom in the discharge of his responsibilities.
