Dan Richee releases ‘AVE’ as cultural statement in ‘New Skool Ogene’

Emerging cultural artist Dan Richee has unveiled the official music video for his new single “AVE”, a standout track from his ongoing project ‘PAGES’.

The release is being positioned not merely as a song, but as a deliberate cultural statement that celebrates gratitude, community, and the vital role of women in preserving Igbo identity.

Speaking on the vision behind the project, Dan Richee said: “AVE is more than music. It is a cultural statement centered on gratitude, community, and the role of women within the continuity of our identity.”

The visually rich video showcases everyday community moments — preparation, interaction, and shared presence — portraying culture not as mere performance, but as a living, breathing system. It forms part of Richee’s broader exploration of ‘New Skool Ogene/, a contemporary reinterpretation of traditional Igbo rhythm tailored for modern audiences.

“Within New Skool Ogene, rhythm is treated not only as music, but as language — a way of preserving and evolving heritage without disconnecting from its roots,” the artist explained.

Following its online debut, “AVE” is scheduled to enter television rotation, with plans for placement on African Magic after the standard review period. This marks a strategic move to take the sound beyond digital platforms into mainstream media.

Dan Richee is expected to follow up soon with another track titled “RUNNIN”, which promises a different energy and forward momentum within the evolving New Skool Ogene sound.

With “AVE”, the artist continues his measured approach of building a cultural movement rather than chasing rapid releases — steadily positioning New Skool Ogene as both deeply rooted in tradition and boldly forward-facing.
