Abdulrahman Bashir Haske is emerging as a leading figure in Adamawa State politics ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial elections.
A statement cited by Vanguard noted that the 36-year-old businessman and politician, born in Yola, combines a strong family legacy with extensive education and business experience, positioning him as a prominent candidate.
It stated: “Haske, a graduate of Information Systems from the American University of Nigeria (AUN), also holds credentials from Lagos Business School and Manchester Business School. He has managed the family business alongside his elder brother and expanded into agriculture, ICT, construction, logistics, oil and gas, aviation, and AI solutions. He owns the largest rice mill in the North East and is a member of the Institute of Directors.”
His political career began with the All Progressives Congress (APC), where his leadership qualities quickly earned recognition. Sources say he is considered a grassroots politician and enjoys strong support among young party members in the state. His family background, including a maternal grandfather prominent in the state’s politics and a father successful in business, adds to his political profile.
Haske, who is married with children, is also known for his philanthropic activities and passion for polo. Observers note that his combination of youth, business acumen, and political engagement could make him a formidable contender in Adamawa’s 2027 elections, particularly following the recent defection of outgoing Governor Ahmadu Fintiri from the PDP to the APC.
