In a rapidly evolving digital economy, Mr. Akukoma Smart Israel, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Savita Global Trading Ltd (Savita App), is positioning himself as one of Africa’s most forward-thinking cryptocurrency entrepreneurs, driving accessibility, security, and trust in digital finance.

Born on October 18 in Abayi Ohanze Autonomous Community, Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State, Akukoma—popularly known as “Smart”—rose from modest beginnings to build a globally recognised crypto exchange platform. Raised in a Christian home by High Chief Israel O. Nwamuo and Lolo Glory Nwamuo, he was shaped early by values of integrity, discipline, and perseverance.

His academic journey took him through Abayi Ohanze Community Primary School and Heritage International Secondary School, Osusu Ama-Ukwa, both in Obingwa LGA. Rather than pursue a traditional university pathway, Akukoma entered the business world early, driven by an entrepreneurial instinct.

He went on to found Good Life Style International, a networking and agro-business enterprise where he served as Managing Director. There, he distinguished himself as a professional marketer and international public speaker, building and mentoring a network of over 2,000 active individuals united by a shared vision—an experience that laid the groundwork for his future in fintech.

The pivotal shift came in 2017, during the early global adoption of cryptocurrency. While recognising the immense potential of blockchain technology, Akukoma identified a major gap: African users were underserved by existing platforms due to complexity, high barriers to entry, and trust concerns. This insight sparked his mission to create a crypto exchange that was secure, user-friendly, and globally competitive.

That vision materialised on April 30, 2022, with the launch of the Savita App, a UI-focused cryptocurrency exchange platform. As the majority shareholder with 72% ownership, Akukoma led a team of young innovators to bring the platform to market. Funded by a strong community of investors, Savita quickly gained international attention.

Under his leadership, Savita has processed millions of dollars in transactions, recording approximately $2.8 billion in crypto deposits and withdrawals in 2023 alone. The platform partners with reputable global exchanges and utilises cold-wallet storage systems, maintaining zero asset loss across four years of operation—a significant milestone in the crypto space.
