LG deepens commitment to localised innovation

LG Electronics, LG, has committed to delivering user-centric, locally optimised solutions that make everyday life more convenient for customers across the Middle East and Africa.

LG West Africa Subsidiary President, Hyoung Sub Ji, said this as the organisation strengthened its leadership in smart living innovation with back-to-back exhibitions that showcased its AI-Powered Home Solutions at InnoFest 2026 in Abu Dhabi and the Mega HORECA 2026 exhibition in Nigeria.

The dual festivals showed LG’s strategy of aligning global technological advancements with the everyday needs of consumers and businesses across the Middle East and Africa.

According to a statement by the firm, the Nigeria exhibition provided consumers, hospitality stakeholders and business partners with a hands-on opportunity to explore how LG’s smart solutions can transform everyday living and professional environments alike.

The statement said: “The exhibition demonstrated LG’s evolving smart ecosystem, where appliances, air solutions and connected technologies work seamlessly to deliver convenience, personalisation and energy efficiency.

“For its residential laundry lineup, the latest models deliver a more intelligent and efficient washing and drying experience with features such as AI Wash and AI Dry. The lineup is led by the award-winning 29-inch LG SIGNATURE WashCombo™, a premium all-in-one washer-dryer with the world’s largest capacity. LG also showcases an expanded LG WashTower™ lineup, introducing a new 25-inch model alongside existing 24-inch and 27-inch versions to support a wider range of installation environments. LG WashTower products integrate a separate washer and dryer into a single vertical structure to improve usability and space efficiency.

“LG delivered a hands-on experience of its AI-powered technologies at Mega HORECA 2026 in Nigeria. The exhibition provided hospitality stakeholders, business partners and everyday consumers with the opportunity to interact directly with LG’s smart home ecosystem and premium appliances.

“Visitors explored intelligent refrigerators with adaptive cooling technologies, AI-enabled laundry systems, smart cooking solutions and advanced air-conditioning units designed to meet both residential and commercial needs. The Nigerian showcase underscored LG’s dedication to making global innovation accessible locally, ensuring that cutting-edge technology is not only seen but experienced firsthand.”
