
… emerges continent’s leading recognition platform after historic Harare Summit

Iconic International Holdings (Pty) Ltd has cemented its place as Africa’s foremost recognition and policy-shaping platform following the resounding success of the 2026 Iconic Africa Summit & Honors held in Harare, Zimbabwe.
The landmark gathering, which took place from February 11 to 15,at the Rainbow Towers & Convention Centre, drew more than 30 distinguished speakers and over 1,000 delegates from 54 countries, turning Zimbabwe’s capital into a melting pot of ideas, diplomacy, and continental ambition.
Under the theme, “The Africa We Want: Sustainable Development; Everyone’s Responsibility,” the summit transcended ceremony, positioning itself as a high-level forum for strategic dialogue on Africa’s socio-economic future.
Participants engaged in robust discussions aimed at shaping policy direction and accelerating integration across sectors.
President and Founder of Iconic International Holdings, Amb. Dr. Temisan O. Louis, described the event as a defining moment for the platform and the continent.
According to him, strategic collaborations with Concord For Young Women In Business Global Zimbabwe,led by Distinguished Amb. Apphia N. Musavengana, who was appointed Executive Global Vice President of Iconic International Holdings,alongside support from institutions such as the African Union Youth Council (AUYC) and the International Forum for Peace & Diplomacy (IFPD), have repositioned the organisation as a critical engine for continental advancement.
Louis declared that the Harare summit has officially established Iconic International Holdings as Africa’s largest and most influential recognition platform.
The event climaxed in a glittering Night of the Prestigious Iconic Africa Honors, where the platform’s renowned “Iconic 500” list came alive in celebration of leaders whose impact transcends borders.
Among the high-profile honorees was Zimbabwe’s First Lady, Dr. Auxillia Mnangagwa, who received the Iconic Woman of the Year Award for her humanitarian initiatives.
His Royal Highness, Prince Lindani of the Kingdom of Eswatini was recognised for advancing youth empowerment and cultural diplomacy across the region.
Malawi’s President, Dr. Arthur Peter Mutharika, was honoured for Outstanding Leadership and Commitment to Democratic Governance, with the award received on his behalf by Malawi’s Minister of Local Government, Hon. Dr. Ben Malunga Phiri.
Zimbabwe’s Minister of Youth, Hon. Tino Machakaire, earned accolades for promoting youth-driven innovation and national development, while Eswatini’s Babukisi Foundation was celebrated for leveraging digital platforms to preserve African heritage.
The presence of Zimbabwean Vice President Kembo Mohadi and other regional leaders underscored the summit’s stature as a key convening ground for Africa’s decision-makers.
Louis emphasised that Iconic International Holdings has evolved beyond event production into a strategic hub aligned with the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) era,where recognition serves as a catalyst for trade, investment, and cross-border collaboration.
“We are not just giving awards; we are building an ecosystem of accountability and excellence,” he said.
“Iconic International Holdings is now the largest platform dedicated to documenting the success of our continent and ensuring that African icons are celebrated by Africans, on African soil.”
As delegates departed Harare, expectations were high that the momentum generated would translate into fresh bilateral partnerships, youth-centred policies, and deeper cooperation across the Southern African Development Community (SADC) and beyond.
