Port Harcourt — Fasthire Services is partnering with the Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture and the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria, Rivers State Chapter to host CareerFest 2026, a two-day career and recruitment event aimed at empowering 1,000 professionals with career guidance, coaching, and access to job opportunities across multiple sectors.

The event, scheduled for February 27–28, 2026, is expected to boost employment opportunities in the region. It was conceived by Richard Okiasi, Team Lead of Fasthire Services, and has evolved into a collaborative initiative supported by institutions dedicated to strengthening the workforce.

CareerFest 2026 will adopt a hybrid format to maximize participation. The first day, February 27, will feature virtual sessions offering industry insights and practical career conversations. The main physical event will hold on February 28 at the Celebr8 Center, Olu Obasanjo Road, Port Harcourt, featuring a Career and Industry Conference with keynote presentations, expert panel discussions, and fireside chats led by HR leaders, business executives, policymakers, and sector specialists.

Central to the event is the Job Fair and Recruitment Hub, where employers will engage directly with qualified candidates for interviews, internships, and potential immediate hiring. Organizers are calling on companies and recruitment firms with vacancies to participate, recruit, and exhibit at CareerFest 2026, providing an opportunity to meet pre-screened talent and fill roles efficiently.

The event is open to graduates, corps members, professionals, and job seekers across industries. By combining inspiration, strategic insights, and real hiring opportunities, CareerFest 2026 is positioned to make a meaningful impact on Rivers State’s talent ecosystem.
