Agbolade Omowole makes ‘Visibility 50 Africa Honour List’

By Ayo Onikoyi

Agbolade Omowole, CEO of Mascot IT Nigeria Limited, has been recognized as one of the 50 African personalities and brands making a visible impact across the continent. The Visibility 50 Africa (2025) award celebrates individuals whose work demonstrates sustained public relevance, influence, and contribution across diverse sectors.

Omowole, known for his contributions to artificial intelligence (AI) and public health, has played a pivotal role in AI research, ethics, and digital innovation. His efforts span public education, the development of digital ecosystems, and advocacy for responsible technology use.

On the use of AI in the creative sector, Omowole suggested that “Nollywood should leverage AI for marketing analysis and tagline generation, not scriptwriting. For scripts, we need bespoke African AI models trained on Nollywood content to preserve our cultural authenticity and drive a local creative revolution.”

The Visibility 50 Africa list also features prominent figures such as Davido, Wizkid, Burna Boy, Funke Akindele, Ayra Starr, Joshua Selman, Nathaniel Bassey, GehGeh, Bimbo Ademoye, and Chimamanda Adichie.

Reacting to the recognition, Omowole expressed gratitude for being acknowledged as a visible change agent in Africa, stating: “I am honored. Africa needs more individuals willing to break free from poverty and corruption. Sustainable solutions to our challenges must be led by Africans themselves.”

Visibility 50 Africa documents Africans who have built influence through consistent public presence, relevance, and meaningful contributions to society, highlighting those shaping the continent’s future.
