Why every Nigerian deserves constant power

Leading provider of innovative energy solutions and a subsidiary of the itel brand, itel Energy, has expressed its commitment to powering Nigerian businesses and homes with smart, reliable and affordable solar energy technologies.

The firm stated this while unveiling its new products the Commercial and Industrial, C&I, Energy Storage Solutions, All-in-One, AIO, and itel Power Go.

Addressing newsmen before the launch, itel Energy’s Director for West Africa, Louis Liang, said the 50kW Hybrid Inverter with 16kWh stackable high-voltage batteries, C&I ESS, and the itel Power Go, with 130W inverter capacity and 320Wh battery capacity, are designed to solve the basic electricity problems of power instability and high costs faced by Nigerians.

Liang said: “Whether you are an individual or a company, you cannot avoid these problems. That is why we brought the C&I for companies and the Power Go for individuals.”

Also speaking, itel Energy’s National Distribution Manager, Lucky Ovenseri, said the new products were designed to suit the Nigerian environment, while assuring of their affordability and mobility.

Ovenseri said: “We know the Nigerian system; if it is not affordable, it cannot get to the masses. Nigerians are dynamic, everyone is always on the run. You can put the itel Power Go in your bag just like you put your laptop.

“The products are very compact and easy to set up. Most of our houses are built with limited space, so we do not want the kind of product that would fill up a whole room.”

He assured of the integrity of the brand, noting that the products being produced are original.

He said: “We do not use recycled cells. We do not sell the kind of product where they tell you it is 7.5kW and when you get home you find out it is 5kW. If we put a product at 10kW, then it is 10kW.”

Meanwhile, the PR Manager, itel Energy, said: “What is important for us is that we go into public spaces and identify the challenges. Whether it is durability or affordability, we go back and create something to meet those needs. Our slogan is ‘Light of Nigeria’, and by that we mean that every single Nigerian has the right to constant electricity. Whether you are a business owner, individual, student, freelancer or remote worker, there is something from itel Energy that can give you backup power.”
