WAKE Campaign has concluded plans to hold a large-scale cervical cancer awareness drive targeting over one million people nationwide.
The will also facilitate screening for at least 1,000 women, with a strong focus on early detection and prevention.
The initiative to be held on January 24, 2026, at the Honeywell Auditorium, Lagos Business School is designed to close the persistent gap between awareness and action by promoting timely screening, informed health decisions, and improved access to preventive care, particularly for women in high-risk and underserved communities.
A statement by the organisers said: “Cervical cancer is largely preventable, yet too many women continue to receive late diagnoses.
The AWAKE Campaign and this summit are intentionally structured to move beyond dialogue into measurable impact by activating partnerships that drive reach, funding, and access to screening organisations, healthcare institutions, corporate bodies, and development partners interested in supporting cervical cancer awareness, screening programs, or broader women’s health initiatives are encouraged to engage with the AWAKE Campaign ahead of the summit.”
