Africa Magic has unveiled the five female housemates set to headline its new reality dating series, Heartbeat, a show that promises drama, chemistry and intentional connections. The women, drawn from diverse creative and professional backgrounds, are poised to bring bold personalities and strong perspectives into the Heartbeat house as they search for love over a 12-week period under constant camera surveillance.
Leading the lineup is Chidera Eggerue (30), popularly known as The Slumflower, a writer, podcaster and feminist voice who rose to global prominence through her viral #SAGGYBOOBSMATTER campaign. A bestselling author and outspoken advocate for female empowerment, Eggerue says she is on the show to meet men confident enough to handle strong, independent women.
Also joining the cast is Lateefa Shittu (28), an entrepreneur from Ogun State who describes herself as loud, confident and unapologetic. Refusing to settle in relationships, she brings a bold, flirtatious energy to the house and says she is ready to meet a man who genuinely matches her personality and standards.
The lineup further features Hilda Braso Agyekum (28), a Ghanaian actress, producer and scriptwriter, who is clear about her expectations in love, with honesty being non-negotiable. Shekinah Esosa (24), a musical artist from Edo State, enters the show with a playful spirit and emotional openness, while Toriah Kim (26), a hairstylist and freelance model, describes herself as fiercely authentic and committed to finding genuine connection.
Heartbeat is set to premiere on Sunday, January 11, 2026, on Africa Magic Showcase (DStv Channel 151). With strong personalities, clear intentions and contrasting approaches to love, the five women are expected to set the tone for a season filled with passion, tension and unforgettable moments.
