Senator begins construction of 2km road in C’River community

Senator Eteng Williams representing Central Senatorial district in Cross River State has flagged off the construction of 2km road that link would link communities in Yakurr local government area of the state.

The senator who flagged off the project on Monday, said the project was in fulfillment of his campaign promises to provide basic infrastructure capable of driving economic growth and rural transformation in the area.

His words :” The project forms part of my deliberate effort to address infrastructure deficits across the senatorial district, add value to rural communities, and improve the living standards of his constituents.

“Access roads remain critical to economic growth, particularly for agrarian communities that depend on efficient transportation to move farm produce to markets,” he stated.

The senator assured residents that the Mkpani Ring Road was only one of several projects lined up to drive growth and transform communities across the district.

Leaders and traditional rulers in the communities, described the initiative as timely and impactful.

They expressed optimism that the road would ease transportation challenges, improve market access for farmers and stimulate urban and commercial development within Mkpani and its surrounding communities.

They described the project as a demonstration of responsive and people focused leadership that prioritizes grassroots development.
