The Osun East Youth for Good Governance (OEYGG), has endorsed Mr. Dennis Ayoola Ojo as its preferred candidate for the Osun East Senatorial District ahead of next general elections.

Spokesperson for the group, Comrade Kilanko Olutayo, at a media briefing, also, urged the people of Osun State to unite in support of Governor Ademola Adeleke for a second term.

Comrade Olutayo described the group as a non-partisan civic organization dedicated to promoting accountability, inclusiveness, and responsive leadership within the district.

According to him “Osun East Youth for Good Governance has consistently held public officials accountable and advocated for good governance.

“As we approach the 2027 elections, it is vital to declare our stance for the benefit of our community.”

The group formally endorsed Dennis Ojo, a candidate from Ilesa East Local Government running under the Accord Party.

They described him as a fresh, credible, and people-oriented aspirant, well attuned to the needs of Osun East.

According to Olutayo, the senatorial district requires representation that focuses on effective legislation, youth inclusion, grassroots development, and genuine advocacy within the National Assembly.

 He said that “Osun East deserves a breath of fresh air. We need a senator who understands the challenges faced by the people, especially the youth, artisans, traders, and professionals.

 “Dennis Ojo represents hope, capacity, and a shift away from recycled leadership.”

The endorsement, he added, was the result of extensive consultations, evaluations of past performance, and the aspirant’s commitment to a governance model centered around the people.

” In addition, OEYGG urged voters throughout Osun State to support and re-elect Governor Ademola Adeleke, highlighting his achievements in infrastructure development, worker welfare, education, healthcare, and youth empowerment since taking office.

The group noted that Governor Adeleke’s administration has reinstated public confidence and prioritized initiatives that directly benefit ordinary citizens.

He said that “Governor Ademola Adeleke has shown a commitment to good governance and people-focused leadership.

“From road construction to enhanced worker welfare and inclusive governance, his administration illustrates how democracy can deliver tangible benefits,” the spokesperson commented.

“OEYGG encouraged the electorate, particularly young voters, to stay politically engaged and actively participate in the democratic process by supporting leaders ready to deliver effective governance.

“The 2027 election transcends mere politics; it concerns the future of Osun East and the entire state.

” We urge voters to look beyond party affiliations and support candidates who genuinely reflect the aspirations of the people.

 The group called “for peaceful political engagement and continuous civic participation as the state gears up for the upcoming elections.
