The President of Azikel Group, Dr. Azibapu Eruani CFR, has been appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of St. Kitts and Nevis, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to industrialization and economic development in Nigeria, Africa, and globally.
A statement by his media aide, Mr. Austin Ebipade stated that the investiture ceremony, which held on January 27, 2026, at the Government Headquarters in St. Kitts and Nevis, was attended by senior government officials and cabinet ministers.
Prime Minister Dr. Terrence Drew conferred the honour, citing Dr. Eruani’s significant impact on industrial growth, eco-prosperity, and energy sustainability.
He explained that the Caribbean countries of the Americas need to stimulate industrialization and development.
“As Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Dr. Eruani will lead economic diplomacy efforts, promoting investment, development, and sustainable growth in the Caribbean region.
“The appointment is expected to strengthen bilateral ties, attract foreign investment, and create jobs,” Dr Drew said.
He posited that the bilateral ties would be beneficial to the Republic of Kitts and Nevis and the Caribbean countries of the Americas with a projected increase in foreign investment, capital inflows, which will culminate in economic growth, job creation, diversification of the economy into technology renewable energy and manufacturing.
Dr. Eruani expressed his commitment to leveraging his expertise and network to drive industrialization, economic diplomacy, and sustainable development in St. Kitts and Nevis and the Caribbean.
