Judith Audu Productions, in collaboration with Switch Visuals Productions, has announced the cast for their upcoming film ‘EVI’, a musical drama written and directed by Uyoyou Adia.
The film tells the story of Evi-Oghene Donalds, a talented but arrogant music star struggling to rebuild her life after her record label collapses.
Powered by CCHUB in partnership with Africa No Filter and the Gates Foundation, the movie explores themes of arrogance, addiction, humility, and the difficult road to self-discovery and second chances. The cast includes Osas Okonyon as Evi, alongside Uzor Arukwe, Omowunmi Dada, Ibrahim Suleiman, Waje Iruobe, and Femi Branch. Osas Okonyon shared that her role in ‘EVI’ has been a transformative experience, highlighting the importance of humility and loyalty.
“Stepping into the world of ‘EVI’ for my first feature role has been a transformative experience. Evi’s journey is a powerful reminder that talent is only half the story—humility and who you choose to bring along are just as important. It’s a privilege to debut with a character that has so much heart and an inspiring arc of redemption,” Okonyon said
Producer Judith Audu described ‘EVI’ as a deep dive into the cost of arrogance and the value of resilience, aligning with the mission of social impact and personal change. The film is set to premiere in Nigerian cinemas on March 27, 2026.
