Several months after sustaining severe injuries in a workplace accident, 31-year-old John Harrison Bodzah is enduring intense pain and worsening health conditions. Speaking in an interview with Vanguard, his mother, Mabel Bodzah, said John, who worked with a Port Harcourt–based company, suffered a badly injured left arm and bladder complications after the incident, leading to repeated hospital admissions. She said he has since lost his job, struggles to eat, and passes urine painfully.

Medical reports indicate that John urgently requires surgery to correct the arm injury and address bladder obstruction that is threatening his kidneys, with the estimated cost put at ₦14.5 million.
