LAGOS — HAAC Energy Ltd has successfully concluded a five-day intensive training programme on Digitized Oilfield Operations and Data Analytics, held in Lagos State from January 12 to January 16, 2026.

The programme brought together 35 participants from diverse professional backgrounds, aimed at strengthening local capacity in the application of digital technologies within Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.

Designed to address the growing need for data-driven decision-making in upstream operations, the training equipped participants with practical knowledge and skills to navigate the complexities of digitized oilfield systems. Through hands-on sessions and expert-led discussions, participants gained insights into how data analytics can be leveraged to optimise oilfield operations, enhance efficiency, and significantly reduce operational costs.

Speaking at the conclusion of the programme, the Managing Director of HAAC Energy Ltd, Mr. Nnamdi Etukokwu, expressed appreciation to the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) for the opportunity to train the participants. He commended the Board, under the leadership of its Executive Secretary, Engr. Omatsola Ogbe, for its sustained commitment to human capacity development in the oil and gas industry.

According to Etukokwu, investments in skills development remain critical to ensuring that Nigerian professionals are well-positioned to compete and add value in an increasingly digital global energy landscape.

Participants described the training as impactful and timely, noting that it provided valuable exposure to industry best practices while also creating opportunities for professional networking. Many expressed confidence that the knowledge gained would enhance their contributions to operational excellence and innovation within their respective organisations.

The programme is expected to further support the growth and development of Nigeria’s oil and gas industry by fostering a skilled workforce capable of driving digital transformation and improved performance across the sector.
