GTG: FWI President urges women to show forth God’s praises

National President of Foursquare Women International, FWI, Elder Margaret Udoh, has charged Christian women to live lives that continually reflect God’s praise, urging them to let their actions, words and relationships glorify God at all times.

She gave the charge while delivering her goodwill message at the Y2026 Annual Get-Together of Foursquare Women International, a gathering marked by worship, reflection and thanksgiving for God’s faithfulness over the years.

Quoting Psalm 149:3, which enjoins believers to praise God with dance, timbrel and harp, Udoh described the event as a fulfillment of Scripture, noting that the gathering was an opportunity to lift voices in gratitude for God’s mercy, protection, provision and the grace to witness another year in good health and sound mind.

Reflecting on the theme, “Show Forth His Praise,” drawn from 1 Peter 2:9–19, the FWI president reminded participants of their identity in Christ as a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation and God’s special people, called out of darkness into His marvellous light.

Her words: “Verse nine of this scripture tells us clearly that we are not ordinary. We belong to God, and because of that, our lives must reflect His goodness everywhere and at all times,” she said.

Udoh acknowledged that life often comes with challenges, pain, confusion and disappointment, but stressed that even in such moments, believers are called to live in ways that honour God and reveal His praise.

She explained that showing forth God’s praise goes beyond singing and church worship, extending to daily conduct and interpersonal relationships. According to her, choosing kindness over anger, forgiveness over bitterness, integrity over mediocrity and firmness in times of tribulation are practical ways of exhibiting Christ-like virtues.

Addressing the women directly, Udoh challenged them not to allow difficult circumstances to weaken their faith or diminish their praise to God, insisting that God deserves adoration in every situation.
“I enjoin you to let your actions honour God, let your lives be a testimony and a blessing to people around you as you show forth His praise,” she said.

She however welcomed participants to the Y2026 Annual Get-Together and wished them a happy new year filled with God’s blessings and glad tidings, praying that their lives would continually bring glory to God.

The annual get-together serves as a platform for spiritual renewal, fellowship and empowerment among women of the Foursquare Gospel Church, reinforcing their role as vessels of faith, service and positive influence in society.
