One of the side attractions that would not be forgotten in a hurry by those who graced the award show was the electrifying performance by Canada-born female Afrobeats DJ, Chelsea.
She practically brought the house down on the AFRIMA red carpet. This lanky, sexy DJ set the vibe with her high-energy performance, wowing attendees with her Afrobeats mastery. She’s been killing it, opening shows for Burna Boy, Rema, and Asake, and bringing Canadian Afrobeats vibes to global stages.
Chelsea’s passion for music started at 4, and she’s been on a roll since 2020.
Now, she’s eyeing music production. She’s been in Nigeria since December 4, performing alongside Mr P and his band in Jos, as well as at the AFRIMA music village.
Chelsea says she’s not aspiring to become a singer, rather, she wants to transform into a music producer. She confesses her love for Nigerian men as well as our local foods, promising to return to the country in no distant time. “Nigerian men are making sexual advances at me. But I’m only enjoying my DJ work for now. Everybody can talk to me and praise me. I love that.
“I will marry when I find the right man. My ideal man must have energy like myself,” she said, in a brief chat with our reporter.
