The Director-General of BTO4PBAT27, a support group for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu, Ogbeni Adesuyi Adojutelegan, has declared that voting for any other candidate in the 2027 election aside from President Bola Tinubu would take the nation backwards.
Adojutelegan said this during the support group tour in Ese-Odo and Irele Local Government Areas to intensify mobilisation in support of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The tour, organised by BTO4PBAT27, a political support group dedicated to galvanising support for the re-election of President Tinubu, is being coordinated under the leadership of the Minister of Interior, Hon. Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.
Adojutelegan pleaded with Nigerians not to make the mistake in the coming election.
He declared that “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will not only secure re-election as President of the country but also remain unmatched by any opposition candidate ahead of the 2027 presidential poll.
“Tinubu’s key economic policies, including fuel subsidy removal, foreign exchange unification, and tax reforms, were decisive steps that no rival could credibly challenge without taking the country backwards.
“You can’t say we should go back to subsidy regime. You can’t say that we should go back to double foreign exchange.”
The DG urged members to remain united, politically active, and committed to strengthening the APC ahead of future elections.
He also called on members of the support group to formally register as APC members to further consolidate the party’s grassroots base in both local governments.
According to him, the ongoing E registration is necessary for members hence the need for their active participation.
Demonstrating commitment to party growth and mobilisation, the Director-General announced financial donations of ₦1 million to the APC in Ese-Odo Local Government and ₦500,000 to the APC in Irele Local Government to support ongoing membership registration and party activities.
Adojutelegan commended members of BTO4PBAT27 in both local governments, describing them as a strong pillar of support for the Minister of Interior, Dr. Tunji-Ojo, and President Tinubu, noting that their loyalty and grassroots engagement are critical to the success of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
In Igbotu area of Ese-Odo Local Government Area, the state committee of the group received a rousing welcome from party leaders, ward coordinators, and supporters who turned out in large numbers to reaffirm their commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking at the event, the Ese-Odo Local Government Coordinator, Mr. Akinyemi Adewale, expressed confidence in the Renewed Hope Agenda and assured the leadership of sustained grassroots mobilisation across all wards in the local government.
The tour later moved to Irele Town, headquarters of Irele Local Government Area, where the BTO4PBAT27 delegation was similarly received by party stakeholders and supporters.
Addressing the gathering, the Irele Local Government Coordinator, Mr. Lebi Temidayo, commended the consistency and dedication of the support group, pledging continued engagement with party members at the ward level.
Also speaking, the Publicity Secretary of BTO4PBAT27, Folajimi Adewumi Gbenga, charged members to go beyond symbolic participation by ensuring regular ward meetings across all wards. He further encouraged members to complete their APC registration to strengthen the party’s structure at the grassroots.
The ward tour recorded impressive attendance in both Ese-Odo and Irele, with party leaders, ward coordinators, and supporters expressing optimism that the APC will secure overwhelming victories in the two local governments in future elections.
