The leadership of Ugbarajo Itsekiri Youths (UIY) has congratulated the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Remi Tinubu, on her installation as Yeye Asiwaju Ti Ile Oodua by His Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, the Ooni of Ife.

In a message by the President, Comrade Joseph Okotie, the group described the investiture as history braided with destiny.

“The Ugbarajo Itsekiri Youths, UIY, extends heartfelt congratulations to the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on her installation as Yeye Asiwaju Ti Ile Oodua by His Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, the Ooni of Ife.

“In this rare investiture, we witness history braided with destiny; an honour steeped in ancestral echoes and the cultural gravitas of the Yoruba nation. Like the river that carries the blessings of the rain to far-flung lands, this recognition affirms Her Excellency’s quiet strength, dignified leadership, and her devotion to the wellbeing of the Nigerian people.

“As Itsekiri youths, conscious of our heritage and hopeful for a unified future, we celebrate this moment as a symbolic bridge across Nigeria’s diverse ethnic landscapes. As our elder sister, we see Her Excellency’s new honour as a testament to the resilience of women who, like the mangroves of our Delta, stand firm against the tides while nurturing life around them.

“UIY therefore prays that this distinguished title deepens her influence for national cohesion, cultural revival, and compassionate governance. We stand in solidarity with Her Excellency as she continues to illuminate the path of service with grace, wisdom, and unwavering patriotism.”
